Donovan K. Holtz — Head Coach/Épée

Coach Holtz is a Montclair High School alumnus. He represented MHS in the 2001 State Championships as an independent prior to the school's inaugural season. Recruited to fence at Rutgers, Coach Holtz made 2nd Team All-American finishing 7th at NCAA Championships. In 2004, he volunteered as an assistant coach for Montclair's first two seasons as a varsity squad before moving on to coach four years at NJIT.

Shakil Uddin — Foil

Coach Uddin is a Montclair High School alumnus, Class of 2009. He captained the MHS Fencing team in 2008-2009. This season marks his 4th season on the coaching staff. When he isn’t fencing, he is the Senior Creative Producer at Compass Creative Studio and the Principal Creative at SMOKE NYC.

Jared Pershad — Foil

Coach Jared became the newest assistant coach during the 2020-2021 season.. He was a foil fencer for Montclair High School and attends Rutgers Newark.
